our story

The Story of
The Salvino Family

The Performance Wealth story is also the story of The Salvino Family. It begins with Alfred J. Salvino, a veteran wealth advisor who began his financial career in 1963, the pioneer days of the profession, and continues with his sons Tom and John both of whom, like their father, are graduates of the University of Notre Dame. They are both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) with MBAs from Loyola University and the University of Chicago, respectively. Grace Salvino, a University of Michigan alumna with an MBA from the University of Chicago, and Sara Salvino, a University of Chicago graduate currently pursuing a Master's degree at Vanderbilt University, represent the third generation of the Salvino Family at the firm.

Together, the three generations of the Salvino family have more than 100 years of collective experience, and scores of satisfied clients.

Our experience &
greatest assets

Before launching Performance Wealth, the principals operated as the Salvino Wealth Management Team with William Blair & Company’s Wealth Planning division. As holistic wealth managers, they provide Financial/Retirement Planning, Investment Management, Social Security Planning, and the coordinating of Estate, Tax, and Insurance Planning to help preserve and enhance their clients’ wealth. The team combines energy, perspective, skills, and investment experience to provide a distinct value for their clients.

Performance Wealth believes that competency and integrity are their greatest assets in managing money.

Our superior skillset
to handle everything in‑house

What really sets Performance Wealth apart from most other advisory firms is their combination of education, experience, and superior skills. Too often clients choose advisors who manage the client relationship, but outsource all the real work by relying on planners elsewhere in their firm and asset managers scattered around the country. Because planning, investment selection and portfolio management are all handled in-house, Performance Wealth’s clients can pay lower fees, be more income tax and estate tax efficient.

those savings when compounded over time can make a meaningful difference in wealth accumulation and estate growth.
